Nimbuzz is my backup choice of Mobile IM program after Fring. In fact, I started to use Nimbuzz even before Fring, since the initial version of Nimbuzz was based on Java ME and when I was still using my Motorola E680i, Fring didn’t has J2ME version yet. Though Nimbuzz has a shorter history than Fring especially on smartphones, it developed very quickly and make itself a serious competitor of Fring. Fring is my favorite mobile IM client since I changed to Nokia S60 smartphone. It is the first really mobile VoIP software I used. Today, I received the notification that it is updated to version 3.40.28/29. This update just fix some bugs and there is no major improvement. So the Pros and cons of Fring remain the same.

In general, this official Skype Java mobile client is almost nothing new comparing to third party Java mobile VoIP/IM client. If your mobile phone is supported by Fring, it will be a better choice.
