Fring has private beta version on Android now
As one of the most popular mobile VoIP software, Fring has close beta version on Android now. To preview Fringdroid, Android users need to send an email to earlyaccess@fring.com and will get an invitation early next week.
The most important concern to keep me away from Android is that its early SDK version didn’t provide direct access to hardware to third party software, which would limits applications like VoIP on Android.
Though another famous mobile VoIP/IM software already has their Android version, but VoIP feature was not included. But it seems with the release of newer Android version, API needs to develop mobile VoIP applications is available now. The Android version Fring invited limited users to test is a IM client not only supporting text chat and etc but also voice call. As Fring is my favorite mobile VoIP software, its Android version is a plus to motivate me to have an Android phone like Motorola Droid.
For people who are still looking for mobile VoIP software on Android, they need to hurry up, since there were only 25 invitation of Fringdroid preview in the first round.
Fring is next in line to brought android app after Vopium, Truphone and Nimbuzz so now android users will enjoy IM apps on their devices.
