If you add the landline phone number, clicking this button will pop the window to alert that you can receive a verification phone. After you pick up the phone hearing the voice message, you just need to input the 4 digit number displaying in the same window. It makes you pass the verification. If you add the mobile phone number, you need to input the verification number sending to your mobile phone in the popping window.
There are several advantages to use the Caller ID. The obvious benefit is that your friends can identify your number when you make a call or send a text message via VoIP services. And further, network phones like Jaxtr map forwarding number according to the Caller ID. Using this feature you can call the Jaxtr gateway number to forward to the landline phone.
Almost Voip services support SIP. The name of the SIP server usually is sip.(the name of the service ).com. It has the same user name and password with the Betamax client software. Supporting SIP means you can use voip services via the SIP software or the SIP hardware phone. In the other words, If you use the SIP phone, you can make a phonecall via the landline phone without a computer. Betamax provides numerous ways to trigger a call. First you can initial the call from phone to phone through the webpage. This way has the same essence as the “direct call” (call back) of the Betamax client software. It has 5 cent connection fee per time and the total calling rate is the sum of the calling rate through the computer to both sides. After all no one doesn’t like the traditional way to make a phonecall.
Some Voip services can provide the call back function via the text message. You just need send a message including both phone numbers to the text message center. Of course you have to use the registered mobile phone. The additional cost is for the international text message. But if your mobile phone can send cheap international message such as T-Mobile (supported by most european countries), this is a nice choice. Except that, some of Betamax services also provide the local access number in several european countries. It works like the traditional IP calling card. The difference is that the account and password is not necessary but users can only make calls from registered phones. Calling via the access number doesn’t need to pay bi-direction as call back. But customers have to pay the cost of calling the access number. Thus it is ideal for the residential line or GSM with free minutes every month.
